Why Finding One Inside Your Crisps Is Unusual
Test pieces are designed to be recovered every single time. A missing count is normally a hard stop, not a shrug. So a disc reaching a customer points to a gap somewhere. Maybe a worker dropped it and it wasn’t logged. Maybe the detector or the reject mechanism didn’t fire when it should have or maybe a sorting fault let a rejected item slip back into the good product.
From a single photo, there’s no way to know which of those happened. And I want to be careful here: I can’t tell you whether the crisps themselves are fine to eat, because you can’t judge food safety from an image. The real concern isn’t the snack
