Is it harmful to touch?
Simply being near a stinkhorn is not generally considered a danger.
Still, it’s sensible to avoid handling unidentified fungi unnecessarily. If you do remove one, wear gloves, wash your hands afterward, and keep your hands away from your eyes and mouth.
