Vintage Kitchen Tools Were Often Built Around One Simple Problem
This is one of my favorite things about older kitchen equipment.
A vintage gadget often wasn’t designed to do twenty different jobs.
Instead, it was designed to solve one annoying problem.
There were tools for coring apples, slicing eggs, separating gravy, shaping cookies, chopping vegetables, removing pits, and making specific foods easier to prepare.
The meatball maker fits perfectly into that tradition.
It wasn’t trying to replace the entire kitchen.

Step 3: Shape the Meatball
Close or operate the mechanism according to the tool’s design.
The meat should form into a compact, reasonably uniform portion.
Step 4: Release
